Parking eye

I took my child to a birthday party and at the property the party was held at was a car park with parking eye in it. I entered my car registration at the premises but have been fined £100. I collected evidence as it says online to show I was at the party but they have said this is not sufficient evidence although that's what it says on the website. Anyone know what I can do or what happens if I don't pay it? People have told me I don't have to pay it as it's private property?

I don't understand who you gave your registration to. Surely you need to provide proof that you followed whatever rule was in place regarding your vehicle. Showing you attended the party isn't proof that you parked legally.

The advice you've been given by your friends/people you've told is incorrect. The legislation changed a couple of years ago and you could face court action.

There is plenty of decent advice available online. Don't just take advice from friends or f4om here. If you Google there are a couple of reputable sites where you'll find help.

I entered my registration on the parking eye computer and it says thanks for registering your vehicle

Money saving expert, Facebook groups, or pepipoo forums will give decent advice.

There was a programme on moneybox on radio 4 that looks at parking fines quite recently. They had some tips. See if you can get it on iPlayer.
