Job advert and minimum wage

Just seen a job advert with a salary of £6-£8 per hour. It is purported as a “trainee” job not apprenticeship. For a large number of people that salary will be below minimum wage. Can a company advertise in this way or do they need to make it clear that salary will be at least minimum wage?

That advert suggests it is a minimum wage post (or very close). The highest rate for NMW is currently £7.83 per hour. It won't go up to £8.21 per hour until April.
