Advice needed. Been divorced 14 months. Court order 13 months old. I think my Ex is seeking advice to vary (reduce) my periodical payments. My original solicitor (who was rubbish) is no longer working. How can I know that the persons I choose to help me defend this will be awesome and have genuine experience in this particular field? I don't know anyone in real life who has experienced this. My Ex is an extremely manipulating narcissist so I need to be strong!

I think you look at their expertise in this type of case. What similar ones have they done? It might also be a mistake to think someone awesome can win if the case isn’t winnable. You want frank and honest advice about your chances, not gung ho exuberance.
