Consumer rights - products never arrived

Hi there,

Unsure if this is the correct location to post this - apologies if I should be posting elsewhere.

I placed an order with a company on January 4th for some sauces/salad dressings (SkinnyFoodCo).

I was in touch throughout January, as my order did not arrive. Despite me asking for a refund, they promised a second had been sent. It has never arrived.

The company has stopped responding to any of my emails (since refusing my 4th request for a refund), I contacted one of the company founders directly (I found him on LinkedIn) - no reply. There's no phone number listed online that I can see.

I'd really like my money back. It's been over 30 calendar days, so I've started trying to claim my money back through PayPal... Is there anything else I should be doing?

Any advice/similar experiences would be much appreciated.

Thank you.

Do a chargeback on your debit card. Just ring your bank and ask for a chargeback for the reasons you have explained above. It is a clear breach of contract.

Sorry just seen it's Paypal. Debit cards are a lot easier than paypal.

Thanks @Jon65 - I had similar thoughts until I realised it was PayPal! Are there any other things you'd suggest?

I raised a dispute with PayPal when I got sent a wrong (and much cheaper) item and the company stopped responding to emails. I remember it taking a couple of days but the company refunded as soon as the first deadline was up. I wouldn’t think you need to do anything else just yet unless you wanted to go down the social media and company reviews route.

Thanks @HighwayCat, that's great to hear. It's so frustrating how powerless I feel in this kind of situation! Glad you got your refund too :)

Paypal always side with the the buyer, so should be straight forward.
