I'll put this as simply as I can without going into too much detail...
Me and my daughters dad weren't together when she was born. He isn't on the birth certificate.
She is now 9 and he's asking to be on it.
For a few reasons I have previously said no. (not going into that)
He's asked again recently. I say asked he kicked up a huge fuss and has basically said I let him or hell get a court order to do it anyway.
I've thought about it and I'm willing to let him. But I would absolutely love my partner to have Parental responsibility. He's been in my daughters life for over 7 years now and he's amazing with her.
Were getting married in April and I want him to have Parental responsibility.
BUT I know if my daughters dad is put on the birth certificate he won't allow my partner to have PR.
I'm just wondering how long court orders take? How long silolicitors and mediation take?
Will me and my partner be married before?
There's a really long back story and I don't want to go too much into it but I have my reasons why he hasn't been allowed so far. But I am willing to let him, just after my partner has PR.
