My ex husband has a habit of contacting the police and/or social services if he's not happy. Our family has had several "police safety checks" and calls from social services about spurious concerns he has raised over the safety of our three children. The police rarely even bother to turn up these days and social services have suggested I consult a solicitor regarding harassment (as they have a growing file of his complaints). Our divorce cost me money I could ill-afford and I'm reluctant to get formal legal advice. Can the police act, if I approach them. It's very wearing having to respond to his activities.
