So dp has applied to court to gain a contact order for his dd.
He received an email from her solicitor, stating she is representing ex and that communication should go through her - basically the usual. And he should get his on legal representative. He can not afford too and many people say it's easy enough to represent yourself.
Questions are

What should he receive from the court?
How are statements usual exchanged?
What should be in the statement- is it contact he would like to request and the break down of communication between him and his ex that lead to court?
He is speaking to a solicitor on the phone later for advice.
The reason for the questions are he has not received anything from court, he has only received the court date and time when the solicitor contacted him. A week later the solicitor stated her clients statement is ready to exchange for X date. He wasn't told any date, so asked her to send over the form and she said It was with his application they received. The statement needs to be done by tomorrow.
Also she told him that they have to be exchanged at the same time through email.
Please could someone offer some advice even if you've been through a similar situation. Thank you
