So basically I’m 24 years old and in about £28000 debt! I think about it all day everyday and just want it to get better.
I’m just on benifits I get about £101 per week tax credits. £114 every 2 weeks income support and £34 CB every Monday. I’ve been advised to go bankrupt. I’m scared has anyone been through it and can guide me through the steps? Do I need to print out my bank statements etc

Is there anyway you could have some of the debt forgiven? It the debt is due to irresponsible lending then the loan companies may forgive the debt, since they shouldn't have allowed you to have the money in the first place?

If considering bankruptcy it is essential you take advice. Stepchange or the CAB are the two that come to mind. There are some very good pieces of advice on both websites.

I've been bankrupt. As your on benefits it doesn't really affect your bank accounts. You do have to inform the bank though, but your only allowed to withdraw benefits. After six years it is removed from your credit file.
