Deeds and separation

Hi

My wife and I are separating. We have been married 13 years and have two children. Last year we were gifted a home by my parents which we put in her name for tax reasons. I am fearful that she will have full rights to this property as well as half the equity in the family home. How do I stand. Any advice appreciated.

Depending on the extent of your wife's needs and the value of the other assets she may end up with up to half of the value of this property. that however is far too simplistic a view, and in reality you need to sit down with a solicitor and get some face to face advice.
