damp in council house

I have moved to a council flat 3 month ago
It's a basement and ground floor maisonette in a Converstion.
I have a communal door that leads to kitchen and own door downstairs that leads to hallway and then bedrooms.

In the Downstairs door has fuse box ( direct under communal stairs )

To cut the long story short there is serious damp issues, the walls are crambling. Half of the flooring is broken up concrete and the other is wet soil

I had raised this with Camden council and waited for the surveyer

He initially came on the 13th of sep and said he will get back to me in few days, never heard from him so had to get my housing officer involved.

He returned on the 1st of November and stated that they will not deal with the damp but T-shirt put a brick wall in my hallway that will cut out my private entrance completely calling it a cardboard I refused this of course and now thinking what legal actions to take ?

Environmental health?

MP?

Anywhere else ?

Anyone could shed some light for me on this matter please

Thanks

Ps I have two kids 3 and 6
