Amending a will

Help wise MNers.
I need to urgently change our wills to change our DCs guardians (quite upsetting horrible behaviour I need to protect them from). How do I do this so that there’s no doubt or confusion.
Can I just change the will, do I need to get is witnessed?
Any advice or signposting would be gratefully received. Many thanks!

The simplest approach is to make a new will.

You can draw up a codicil which amends the original Will or write a new one, both have to be witnessed.

Thanks! I am looking at the codicil option. Which seem to offer a service, so hope that will suffice

Whatever you do needs to be witnessed. I would write a new will.
