Can an organisation take detailed observations about you and write a report abut you if you have not given consent?

Did you know you were being monitored

Larrythelamb84 · 23/10/2018 20:26

Depends on the circumstances?

Jamielee444 · 23/10/2018 20:26

Not to that extent. I didn't know there would be a full written report with quotes from me

Yes, but it depends on context. What was it about, what is your role, who was taking the note, why, etc?

Thenewdoctor · 23/10/2018 20:30

It depends. On context and what the report is for. Who was taking the notes. What was your role.

Larrythelamb84 · 23/10/2018 20:30

You would needed to have been notified prior to the notes being taken. If it's for a disciplinary, this should have been explained. If it's been done covertly then that's different.

Jamielee444 · 23/10/2018 20:38

I was told it would be 2 or 3 sentences that were general observations. But it ended up being over a side of a4.

What’s the context?

Larrythelamb84 · 23/10/2018 20:54

I would need to know the context in order to answer your question, as it all depends on the circumstances.
