I got some really reassuring advice here when we first started out with court hearings and trying to formalise arrangements. Thank you. It was much appreciated and really helped me when I was overwhelmed and frightened for my step kids futures.
Cafcass spoke to the children. They’ve seen through the lies told by their mother and recognised that she can’t provide a safe enviroment for them.
I read a lot about Cafcass siding with parents, and worried, but that honestly wasn’t our experience. The lady who handled the case was excellent and it’s such a relief that finally the truth will be heard.
One final question from me if the report recommends a further hearing, is it likely the judge will take that advice and issue a further interim order.
The report suggests that contact is not to be increased (as per kids wishes) until further investigations have been made and support offered in relation to thier half siblings. My concern here is, their mum has already lied repeatedly about the home situation and incidents during contact as outlined in the report by Cafcass, what’s to stop that happening again and the children being put in the same situation again?
