Contact order

Cut a long story short
Been going through court for 9 years now for my child to have contact with their dad.
For 9 years it’s been hell, shows up, then walks out DDs life for 7-8 months at a time.
He hasn’t seen DD since feb time. DD expressed she didn’t want to go with him anymore. But I was told by my solicitor encourage as much as u can, he should still show up and help encourage DD to go. I have been doing this to be faced with him not showing up breaking the order.

The last 3 times he hasn’t showed to court. And it was for a finalised order.

I expressed that I would love DD to have the best of both worlds. It’s not fair I’m having to encourage her to go when it’s not done the other side.

He claims he’s working. Child maintenance is a different story, they do DEO and he leaves his job. So I don’t bother much with them as long as she gets what she needs from me, she’s happy.

I was told from the judge, next time if he doesn’t show withdraw all further hearings and contact. You have to express this.

I’m not sure how I feel about this TBH.
The only plus side is no more court, fees etc. But it’s her dad at the end of the day. I don’t know what to do

Do as the Judge has told you. They don't make orders for fun.
