Hi all,
I wonder if you could shed some light on this situation for me .
Myself and DD father are no longer together and haven’t been for 9 years .
The other week my DD came home from school stating that her father had demanded she hand her phone over to him and he was screaming and shouting at her until she eventually gave it him.
My DD doesn’t live with her father only visits him .
Obviously as soon as my DD told me I demanded the phone back as it is my property and in my name . I told them they had two days to return the phone otherwise it was being reported as theft.
I heard nothing so have reported it to the police who have proof of ownership etc .
I am still yet to hear anything else from them and this was reported last Wednesday .
Can anyone tell me the likely hood of getting my phone back and when roughly I should hear anything from the police.
Many thanks

Em sounds like a vile man to steal your daughter's phone. Sadly, it's hard to answer your question as the answer is entirely at the discretion of who is dealing with this at the local Police station and how far they will be bothered to go. There are no protocols that they have to follow or that you can insist they follow. I hope you get it back. X
