Hi. we bought our house 12 years ago and we are just having some buolding worl done. our house has been extended previously (not by us) and our builders have discovered that the old extension was never signed off by building regulations. i am now being asked to submut designs? and have an investgation pit dug in my garden at my expense. i have checked my paperwork when i bought the housr and the sellers property form was not completed properly about any building work completed on the building. do i have any comeback on this either to the sellers or the solicitor who didnt pick this up? any conveyancers on here that could help please?
