Hi all I'm new here although I've visited to read post over the last two year.
My partner and I have a special guardianship order for our neice who is 4. Dad has supervised contact every 8 weeks. He has applied to increase to unsupervised contact every 2 weeks for 6-7 hours.
There was very good reason for this he was prosicuted for assault on my sister and endangering my neice then less than a year old.
He has completed all the relevant courses and cafcass have told me they will recommend he gets what he wants.
He is claiming he has a diagnosis of autism that I was only made aware of yesterday however no one has seen any proof of this and cafcass has just taken his word for it.
I'm having to realise that this will not our way and I'm honestly terrified.
I do not want to bow down to cafcass but I'm scared they will go against me for being difficult but my gut is telling me to fight it. They are going to do what they want anyway. At this stage I want to make it known to all involved they may take these risk assessments but I do not and will not. It can't get much worse for us can it?
