I think I've just been scammed
I asked for a very straight forward service. which was guaranteed to take 24 hours to perform, yesterday morning.
This morning I received an email to say the process was complete, the person's address had been traced and to send the fee. I did this immediately and then heard nothing. I've phoned the office and attempted to get in touch with the investigator to no avail. I've only now just googled the name of the individual investigator and looks like he's had history of scamming.
I already feel very. very stupid so please don't lay into me too thickly. I've asked for a refund but been told that isn't possible. I've asked what the complaints procedure is and the young woman in the office couldn't tell me. On the off chance I can get my money back is there any complaints body for Private inveigher companies please?
