I can't find the answer I'm looking for on google - does anyone know about completion rules is winner does not respond to the messages informing them they have won?
I entered a competition for a big prize last September with a reputable company. I couldn't find the ts and cs and there was no closing date on there (Facebook). I contacted them a few months later and they said it was still going (despite post saying competition 'ending soon' 3 months previous to this).
They have just started another competition for a different prize and it reminded me I still hadn't seen a winner announced.
I messaged them and the reply said the winner had been selected but hadn't been responding to messages. That they were giving them another few weeks and then they would start the competition again.
My understanding was that, if prize unclaimed, despite reasonable attempt to contact them, after x amount of time, it went to a different person.
My cynical side says they didn't receive many entries (around 80 for a big prize) so want to re run it and promote it better...
Any ideas on the actual rules around this? Thanks
