First hearing for maintenance pending suit really nervous

Hi

Can anyone offer any advice. My first hearing today maintenance pending suit.

I attending alone as litigant in person with no support and am starting to feel a bit overwhelmed by the whole thing.

I've not been into a court before so really nervous about the whole thing and saying things wrong even what to say.

Amy advice would be much appreciated my hearing is this afternoon.

Hi, only just seen this. Hope you're ok?!The first time is really daunting but now I've been so many times that I'm on first name terms with the usher My stbexh really likes court and likes to take me on a date there as often as he can. Well he did but has now been told he can't do that anymore. Hopefully you'll be back home by now and it's sorted but I know you often have to go back (I've been over 10 times in 5 years!)

Thank you so much. I was so scared, it wasn't nice but better than I thought it would be.

Problem now is that the soon to be ex husband has given up work apparently due to all the stress! He has done this deliberately as a financially controlling person with a decent income of 57,000 and my income of 15,000 to get out of paying a penny and to force sale of the house.

Any idea on here from anyone with experience in this area and what can be done to prove it. He has even said on form e he needs 20,000 to get a mortgage yet he has no job! States his parents are financially supporting him.
