Ex won't settle

My ex has equity in my house and there is a CH1 order stopping me from renting etc without his permission.
I am trying to pay him off as I want to rent my house out.
He won't talk about receiving his share of the money back.
Can I force him to accept it?
I can sell it without his consent but there seems to be nothing in the CH1 order to let me force him to accept his money from me!

What do you mean about CH1 order? A CH1 is a legal charge. I assume he has a deferred interest protected by a charge. I wouldn't expect such a charge to prevent a property being rented out. Have you checked the wording?

You should be able to buy him off early. The problem comes when you can't agree a value. You need to then take it back to court and the court will appoint a single joint expert to value it.
