PCM parking fine

Hi I just received a parking charge notice from PCM for £100. I didn't get anything on my window. They are stating that the 28 days have elapsed and it's too late to make representation against the PCN. This is the first I have seen anything like this I didn't receive any notice before today. Is it one of those fines I can ignore or do I need to do something about this? Thanking you in advance.

Just google, PCM, there's loads of advice on there regards how to deal with them. Don't ignore it more and more firms are going to court to enforce payments. Also Martin Lewis's Money saving expert website they have loads on this.

Was there photographic evidence with theach fine notice?

No I didn't receive the initial notice first time I knew about it was yesterday. Feels like they skipped the initial letter

I've ignored these lots of times. the last time was last year after the new regulations came in. The company followed the usual pattern. Send a letter that looks like a PCN. Send a threatening reminder. Send another with a hiked charge . Send a letter from their 'legal firm' threatening that they reserve their right to take me to court. Send a letter from their 'bailiffs' threatening me again. Send me a final letter giving me a last chance to pay the original fine. No more letters or contacts.

It's worth looking online because different firms behave differently, but the majority just want to scare you into making a quick payment. They don't want to spenf money on legal and court fees.

The same thing happened to me, the first I heard of it was through trace debt recovery, now I have to pay £160 as I never got the opportunity to pay the original £60 fine within 7 days, or the £100 if you don't pay straight away. Im nervous not to pay it, but annoyed I never knew about fine. Have you heard any more?
