Any Scottish legal experts answer a quick question?

What is the legal standpoint if documents received were served incorrectly.
If they were redirected to the sorting office when they should’ve been returned to the court?
Or if they were served twice?
If they are signed for by someone other than the addressee?

Hypothetically of course. Just good old fashioned curiosity.
Thanks Flowers
