Financial abuse of elderly

Friend's family member has recently died having been ill for some time with dementia. The Will has now been dealt with and other family members informed that most of the deceased assets have been gifted to one family member. This happened after the deceased started to lose her mind... And after the deceased was robbed blind by bank cashiers who were then convicted of fraud and sentenced.

The main beneficiary is about to move into his/her MiL house as MiL is close to the end of her life and has substantial assets.

The whole thing absolutely stinks of elder financial abuse. Can this be reported to police anonymously by friend of family?

Not sure what relevance it has that the beneficiary is about to move in with her mil, but I'm sure the will could be challenged if relatives felt it was written/signed when the individual was suffering from dementia.
