D50k submission ... what happens next?

I submitted a D50K enforcement application back in late April.

Our Finances Consent Order for our divorce was signed last June 2017, but Ex has been deliberately underpaying Spousal maintenance since January 2018, and ignoring all requests from me to resolve it.

In early May (about a week after I sent it the application and cheque), I received a letter from the Court asking me to send in a copy of the Order I wanted enforced. I did so about 3.5 weeks ago.

I haven't heard anything further.

Does anyone know what happens next? If it makes any difference, it is Guildford Court. Should I be chasing it, and if so how? Or will that just annoy people.

Phone them! I had to follow up every week for 4 weeks as they had initially lost my application, until a lovely lady at the courts helped me with everything and even followed up with a lovely note attached to the notice. I called once a week so it wasn't too annoying. Best of luck! I'm in the same situation as you and it sucks!!

Hi there, I am doing a D50k at the moment but not sure where to send it and also if I need to send a cheque as there are no details with the form online!

I sent a cheque. You also need to include a photocopy of the Order, even if you think the Court should have one on file.

Process seems to take ages. In late Aug I got a letter saying it had been moved to a Court nearer to us. I still don't have a Hearing Date at the new location.

Now have a Court Date for 3rd December at Kingston Court.

Any advice on what to expect? It says 30 minutes had been allowed for the Hearing, but then says "Please Note: This Case may be released to another Judge, possibly at a different Court." (It doesn't name a Judge on the Notice, so what would 'another Judge' mean?)

Hi,

I am going through the same process with Guildford. No where does it say who to make your cheque out to....so I put a postal order cheque made to Guildford county court. After waiting 4 weeks I called to see how my application was going only to be told it had been returned to me because my cheque was made out to the wrong payee. WHAT? I responded politely "where online or on the form does it tell me who the Payee should be?" Their reply sorry we returned it too......"£"$%. OH! My response you have returned it to the wrong address. I believe my correct address was clearly written on my application. I was then told to resend everything and another cheque. I went mental. Their mistake for returning to the wrong address and I had no way of taking a cheque back to the post office to have the payee changed without actually receiving it back to the correct address. I managed to get them to allow me to resubmit. I was now 5 weeks past the initial application to the court. It has now been 7 weeks and I have been told the papers are on the judges desk. I am waiting for correspondence. I am dreading going back to court. My stomach churns. I would be very grateful to all the ladies who are going through this process to share as I will share too as things proceed.

thanks

Hi. I sent a D50k to the family court as advised with a postal order. It was sent back to me saying I should have sent to St Bury’s. Does it mean I have to pay again? I did send to St Bury’s without the postal order but heard nothing at all in 6 weeks. What should I do?

I’ve just been granted a consent order and decree absolute by the judge, my ex had 28 days to make a payment which has now expired, his intention is to delay making the lump-sum payment ordered by the judge, there was a discrepancy regarding contents issue which was resolved and sign by both of us. He also said he’s not in breach of the order as he is lodging the payment to the court, is this something he can do.
Is this consider breaching, what form will I need for breaching as I get to understand the D11 or D50K, which form should I submit to the court

The family court doesn't take payments in so no, he can't do it.

Use a D50K.
