Case sent to CPS for charging advice

What does this mean? I'm a key witness in a case where a minor is the victim. So trying to understand what's going on.

The police gather all of the evidence and send it to a CPS lawyer to review. They make the decision on whether to charge with any offences, and what those offence/s should be.

Google CPS charging guidelines if you want to see what they have to take into account.
