About a year ago, I was a witness to a crime. The suspect was close to me at the time but we're NC now. They were released pending investigation, as far as I hear it's still ongoing.
My question is, will the police let me know whether or not charges will be brought either way? Obviously if I get a witness summons it'll be obvious, but if they decide to take no further action, will I be told? Just want to know this won't be hanging over me forever!
