STBXH and OW co-habiting

My STBXH ticked the box on our paperwork that states that he isn't cohabiting or intends too in the near future. However the OW moves in next month.

If he had been truthful and had ticked the box that did say he was going to cohabit, how much of a difference would it have made to the financial settlement?

My ex was cohabiting with OW (claimed he wasn't on the form but I made him correct that 🙄). Didn't make any difference in my case, court still wanted things split equally

That's what l wondered. He made such a fuss over ticking the "no" box as he didn't want the OW financial status looked at. Then he wanted to know if l was going to "drop him in it" with the Court Hmm.

But it wouldn't have mattered either way

. . . except you could divorce for adultery.

I guess it must have an impact in certain circumstances or they wouldn't ask the question.

The reason for divorce (eg adultery) doesn't affect the finances

It does sometimes make a difference as his living expenses would be deemed to be halved if the cohabitee was working. A friend's ex would not divulge his OW income so the court allocated an income of £50k to her and we always assumed it must have been more or he would have protested the amount.
