Hi,I'll try to keep this as short as possible.
I got pregnant 13 years ago this month after a one night stand at bf hen weekend. Now have 12 year old dd,informed the father early on in pg,he cut contact there and then, sent photos at 5 months old no acknowledgement.
Tried to contact on fb 7 years ago and again last year, still will not converse/acknowledge her existence.
My question is,I never applied for child maintenance as at the time I felt it was my choice to have and raise my daughter and respected his choice not too,but over the years, last year especially when my daughter asked to make contact and he blocked contact, its started to really get to me,hurting her is like red rag to a bull and now I want him to pay,if only financially.
Would I be able to sue him in court for lost maintenance?I do not have his address any longer.
Can anyone please advise?

No - you can't claim arrears. You can however get the ball rolling now. CMS maintenance will last until the end of secondary education.

And I would imagine a DNA test would be a very good idea for all 3 parties involved too.

It really would serve no purpose whatsoever. And wouldn't be done unless the father disputes paternity and pays up front for the test.
