Should I have a solicitor? Rape case

My case went to CPS but they decided not to prosecute, I've appealed, rejected, now appealed again. The police are now looking into it again as CPS senior prosecuter has questions about the case.

The police officer today assumed I had a solicitor and I asked 'should I?'. He suggested yes. He'd thought I'd had access to the case but all I've had it the CPS letters. So I've never seen 'his defence'. I made the first appeal myself and the second with help of the local rape support that I was referred to by the police.

It hadn't crossed mind that being the victim I'd need a solicitor. Bit should I? How much would this cost?

Most definitely, if you want this case to go anywhere and get a result.

No idea on price, but rape cases rarely go how they should, so I would speak to someone legally and get advice.
