Secured loan on house

How can I find out if my ex-h has taken out a secured loan on the house? Right now the property is still solely in his name. He was meant to transfer equity with a charge notice for 40% going to him and put the house in joint names according to the consent order. It's been nearly 3 months and he still hasn't done this. I suspect he may have possibly taken out a secured loan on the property as he's been reluctant to do the transfer or equity.

You can get this information from land registry for £3. You might need to keep going back and checking though to see if it updates.

I wonder if you could put a charge on the property yourself if he doesn't do what the judge ordered? It is possible to get a charging order via the courts.

Thanks @PoshPenny I checked and the home rights notice is still on so he couldn't take out any lending against the property. Will keep checking every month though as my ex is the devious kind. Going to court anyway as he already wants to reduce spousal already and will ask for that when I get to court.

Do you know why he has not complied with the order? Eg does the mortgage lender refuse to allow you on the deeds and loan (they often do refuse).

He so far hasn’t complied with anything on the order. I’ve already made an application for breaching the consent order. He refuses to answer my emails when I’ve asked what’s happening with it
