Child Maintenance paid from business account

I've just noticed my ex husband has been paying spousal/child maintenance (although sporadically) to me from his business account over the past 2 months. I can't help thinking that he is doing this to avoid something.... can anybody advise? It's a Limited Company.

He'll have to pay taxon it. It will be treated as directors drawings.

Just to make sure, check with HMRC that he's not got you set up as an employee and is treating maintenance as a business expense.
