Hey,

If a hairdressers was called ‘curly cakes’ (obviously made up name) and had the name trademarked could I open a hairdressers and call myself ‘curly cakes Swindon’?

It doesn't stop you doing that but the owners of the trademark may be able to take action against you for infringing their trademark. You would need advice from a lawyer who specialises in intellectual property rights if you want to be sure but this sounds like you would be infringing their trademark. Safest to keep away from trademarked names altogether.

Thanks.

I actually own the trademark and someone has done that to me, was just checking if it was worth getting a lawyer.
