Reporting Childhood Sexual Abuse Years After

Reported an incident from about 10 years ago involving myself and my cousin of the same age to the police a few months back. It was a family member and as its an ongoing investigation I'm not sure how much I can say.
However everyone in my family has been questioned and nobody (including my cousin) has anything to say about it. Her memory of the incident involving her just doesn't exist. It was at a family gathering and she doesnt even remember going there. For me, it was repeat incidents.

So...I seem to be the only one who knows/remembers anything happening.
I havent heard anything for a few months now and I know it takes some time but I'm wondering if anythings ever going to come of it.

I started off feeling positive for reporting it and I thought I'd have enough evidence, but to everyone else, it's like it never happened.

I don't know if this is the right place to post but I've seen similar threads around...

Does anyone know what the chances are of this going to court? The only evidence they have came from my statement and some information from the time where my behavior changed at school (misbehaving, etc)

I went to trial in 2016 - historic case from over 30 years ago and I was the only victim - he was found guilty, so it can be done.

Whether it will go to court is up to the CPS (who in my case took over 6 months to decide...) - they look at all the evidence and have to decide if there is a reasonable prospect that a jury would convict. (Of course the jury have to be sure "beyond reasonable doubt", so no guarantee of a guilty if it does get to court.)

Happy to answer any questions you have about the process as best I can. PM me if you like.
