Becoming a Magistrate

Hello,

I’ve been at stay at home Mum now for just over 12 years. I have more time on my hands now and really am interested in becoming a magistrate. Are there any qualifications I may of missed I might need to even consider this? School wasn’t my forte, but now in my mid 40s I’m confident I have the ability to achieve this. Would I be able to study law alongside this?

Any thoughts and experiences greatly received!

Thank you x

I would love to do this too but despite regularly checking my local area there are no vacancies
I would suggest your first port of call should be to see if they are accepting applications in your area, which you can do via the link bluesky provided
