Lease

I was hoping to get some advice regarding the solicitor that we have appointed to deal with adding me to the lease for our property.

We appointed them at the beginning of December to add me to our shared ownership property lease (housing association -HA), by mid Feb we had heard nothing so my husband emailed the solicitor to ask for a progress update. We had a reply stating that the solicitor was waiting to hear back from 'the other side'.

Having still heard nothing form either party my husband emailed the solicitor again and we got an email reply with an attached email from the HA. The email reply showed the email sent from the solicitor to the HA was sent today. I telephone the HA who confirmed that they had not heard from the solicitor until todays email.

My question is about time scales, is this a normal timeframe? Would the solicitor have been doing other things during this 3 months in preparing or have we been forgotten?

Thanks
