Possible breached contract

I signed a work contract which I then couldn't fulfil (for valid reasons) - is anyone good at the ins and outs of contracts and can offer advice and are happy to PM?

Sorry to be so lacking in detail but I don't want to put anything identifying online, for obvious reasons.

Bit vague. Do you mean you agreed to work for someone as a job for example or you offered to provide a service to someone but then couldn't?

If you didn't turn up to a job then probably not much they can do if it hasn't cost them anything bar time and effort. If you cancelled something that cost others money by your non appearance then potentially different
