I need some advice! Both me and my mum have shared rights over my child. There is an SGO in place. It’s now been 2/3 years since the case got closed and they left us be. I was a young 15 year old mother and didn’t know how to be a parent and instead of trying I just let my mum take over but now with me being 21 and the child being 5 I’m more than ready to be a mum I want nothing more than to be in my own house with my child but WHERE DO I START? How do I get the ball rolling? I need help and Iv asked my mum but she “can’t” answer my questions. Please somebody tell me where to go and who I need to speak to because I’m desperate to be a mum to my little baby🙁

To apply to court to discharge the SGO you complete a form C1 www.justice.gov.uk/downloads/forms/fjr/C1_web_0414.pdf.
For guidance, see this childprotectionresource.online/applying-to-discharge-or-vary-a-special-guardianship-order/
