What's the difference between social services doing it or cafcass?

Thank you

Not a lot. Social Services generally do it if they have assessed the child in the last 6 months, to save on duplication of effort.

Are the recommendations in a section 7 report generally upheld by the courts?

TeaBelle · 19/02/2018 21:50

It depends hugely on the local area and what view the courts have of the report/the reporter/children's services in general

lookingforhelp12 · 19/02/2018 22:53

cafcass twice both section 7s. I think the courts are fed up.
I wish I could go into detail but I can't obviously.

Summary is DV ( not me ) been brought to attention of SS more than a handful of times. So I presumed they escalated it to SS so wondered if it was more in depth or just a different approach.

Thank you

Previous section 7 courts seemed to go with.

Numerous broken orders and DV interviews by SS.

In my experience ss may well put in more effort in respect of speaking to everyone and analysing it
