Trusts for children

My ex died. We were still married when he died but had been separated for some time. We had two children together and he left nothing to them in his will. It all went to his brother. I’ve never seen the Will. Anyway my ex got a death in Benefit amount that has been put in trust for the children but I’m not allowed to know how much. And apparently his brother is managing it. I’m not on good terms with his family. Is there a way I can find out what the amount and terms of the trusts are? Thanks.

Did you not contest the will for not making provision for the children? Eek!

I Spoke to solicitor and he advised me that if there wasn’t much money involved then it probably wasn’t worth pursuing as I would be spending money money that actually getting. This is probably the biggest amount of money at stake.

So he doesn’t have a share of the family house then? Sounds very poor not to leave anything to his children.
