Hello mums, not really after advice just some moral support. This is a difficult situation so please of you don't have something nice to say keep it to yourself. I'm in the process of applying for permission to discharge a special guardianship order and have my children returned to my care. I had suffered domestic abuse and although I had left him years ago, I was left with crippling depression. I got into another relationship and fell pregnant with another child. When the youngest was two weeks old SS decided to take them into care and were eventually placed in the care of my dad and his partner. I was given 6 months to get better or they would apply for an SGO. Needless to say 6 months was not long enough especially considering I had just had a baby. I am much better now and have delt with my issues, but proving I am a fit parent is hard. Anyone been in a similar position or just some words of reassurance?
