Missing Memorandum of Staircasing

I purchased the remaining 50% share of a shared ownership property 10 years ago.

The solicitors that did all the conveyancing have since gone into administration.

I am now trying to remortgage the property but the conveyancers won't proceed without this memo. They say that I'll also never be able to sell the property because if this.

The Housing Association don't have a copy of it but agree that I DO own 100% if the property and are willing to put it in writing. The conveyancers say that they will ONLY accept the Memo.

I have lots of docs relating to my original purchase (including the original lease) and subsequent Staircasing but not this Memo.

There is no Memo at the land registry either.

I'd be grateful for any advice as to where I go from here.

When the solicitors went into administration their files would have been transferred to another firm.

We had similar happen but the previous solicitors had been negligent but new solicitors dealt with it all and we received compensation via their run off insurance.

Check who took over their files and hopefully there is a copy on them.
