Jury service

Just finished a week of what should have been 2 weeks jury service. Got dismissed yesterday as a new load of jurors will arrive Monday. Very disappointed as I've waited years to do this.... so my questions are...
Has anyone ever been dismissed early but recalled before their 2 week time block was over and anyone been called for another jury service quite quickly? :)

Yes to both of those questions. I was like you, desperate to do it. In reality it was boring , pointless and I found it very oppressive. I would not want to do it again.

So u were recalled again even though you were sent home before your 2 weeks ended? I got a very interesting case last week so I was very keen to stay! :)

Yes, my first case was cut short and they made us come back the week after

Thanks for that mrsmadevans you've given me hope! :)
I would have thought after we'd handed our summands in there would be no chance of being recalled!

if you do two weeks you could be called back that's the point of being on call. I did a case that lasted 3 days they called back the 2nd week for another 3 day case. I really enjoyed it was fun in a warped sort of way. Armed robbery in the corner shop

I’d have been delighted to only do a few days on jury service. I had to stay for the entire fortnight Angry. Found the experience boring, upsetting and very uncomfortable. Hope I never get called again.

I think once you hand your summonds form back in then it's over and u won't get recalled.
