Typical access for a 4 month old baby

Hi can anyone tell me what kind of access their young babies have with their ex partners. What is the norm for a baby age 4 months up to 1 year? And when would overnight stays usually happen? We are looking to go to mediation but there are issues with drugs and alcohol so I am not keen for overnights until ds is much older. Also we split when ds was 2 week old so he isn't aware of his day to day routine or anything. I think little and often is best when children are so young. Is once a week fair perhaps a Sunday afternoon?

Did you speak to your solicitor on Friday?

To be honest, you are posting post after post about the same issues and I don't think anyone can give you the answers you are looking for.

Once a week is no where near enough, how is he expected to harbour a relationship?

Unless there are DV issues then he needs to be seeing him every few days on the proviso he can prove he's clean. He tests negative, contact drops.

A couple of hours Tuesday/Thursday and a weekend morning/afternoon?

But you should go through court or at least mediation. This is a very hard decision that will lead to a lot of falling out if you aren't careful.

Yes I spoke to a solicitor but only had an hour and there was that much to cover we couldn't go through everything. Just looking for some advice before mediation thays all as can't afford to pay a solicitor £200 an hour all the time.

My ex can't do midweek at all because of his job so there is only a weekend.
