D8 form help

Hello, I am trying to get divorced.

We've already had a Financial Order written and our finances are now resolved. (I know this is not the normal way of doing things but it was the only way my husband would agree to move forward- grrrrr). We used solicitors for the drafting of the Financial Order but are planning to file the divorce forms ourselves.

I am so confused by the D8 form though. If anyone can help I'd be so grateful I am reluctant to ask my solicitor as my bill has already been higher than I hoped.

Question 10.1 Do you want to apply for a financial order?
Should I say no as we already have one? Or do I say yes as I thought it wasn't legally binding until the decree nisi.

He is the petitioner on the financial order. Does this mean he has to be the petitioner for the divorce and on the D8 form?

2.4 Do you have a solicitor acting for you?
Do I say no as the solictor's involvement is limited ot the financial order?

Thank you so much

Tick yes for financial orders both times,

Tick no solicitor,

He doesn't have to be the petitioner though the financial order may need to be changed.
