I was in a parking lot and seen a car beginning to reverse out and had clearly not seen that I was there so in shear panic to avoid my car being hit and rolled back slightly into the car behind me. I was so in shock that I just drove off without getting out of the car. I can’t see any damage to my car and from my mirror I couldn’t see any damage to their car but I’m scared now incase they involve insurance or police

Well if someone has seen you and has got your details then yes you can be reported to the police because you've left the scene of an accident. If you left the scene because you couldn't give details then you have 24 hours to report your accident to the police.

Can you report it on 101?

crazycatgal · 25/11/2017 17:47

Report on 101 or go into any station. If the other driver doesn't report you then nothing will come of it but your back will be covered if they do.

I had taken my belt off to get out of my car and apologise to the car behind but the driver of the other car wasn’t making any sign of moving so that is why I drove on
