Urgent advise re divorce

My brother is getting divorced.
The hearing is due soon .
He has been told he will meet with the barrister before divorce hearing to go through details.
However, he can arrange a meeting a week before to go through in more detail but this will cost £500.
Is it worth paying for the meeting?
My instinct says yes as it will give the barrister more time to prepare.
Advise greatly appreciated.

Yes. Assuming it's about money.

Thank you Callobarate
Yes it is about the financial settlement.
They have no children and she wants 60/40 split off assets.
He offered her 55/45 but she has refused.
There is also the fact that her dad has signed his house over to her (many years ago).
She is saying this will be classed as inheritance and nothing to do with her financial circumstances.
