Stamp duty

Please help if you are in the know. Am getting conflicting advice.
Am getting divorced, buying ex out of the house.
Do I need to pay stamp duty on the money I give him?

You pay stamp duty on the transfer of a house, but if it’s persuant to a court order it’s exempt from SD.

Thank you familylaw. I called hmrc and it was clarified that if it's part of a divorce then it was exempt.
