How much does an admission in court count?

Asking for a friend and really hoping someone can help/knows the legalities of this.

If a woman admits in the course of a criminal trial that a man is the father of the child(not on BC or any contact in the past 6 yrs) , can then the man use her admission to skip or completely bypass some steps in applying for contact?
So for example does he still need to apply to be put on the BC first,or can he use her testimony to apply for contact straight away?
And if he does have to apply to be put on the BC , will there still be hearings , DNA tests etc or it will be very straight forward due to her testimony?

He doesn’t need to be on the BC to apply for contact. If she denies he’s the father he can then apply for a transcript of her evidence in the criminal trial.

@Collaborate so he can go and apply straight for contact?
And then if she tries to deny/stall the admission in court will be enough to avoid it?

Yes on both counts.
