You said 'a mistake'..... you know, something you do accidently / when not concentrating.

bastardkitty · 17/10/2017 18:13

Looks like at least 24 months then...

No it doesn't. The sentencing guidelines that magistrates have to follow give a maximum of 22 months. I doubt the OP will get that much based on the information she has posted.

By the way, I am not sure where MollyBloom gets 14-16 months from. That is not what the sentencing guidelines say. The ban is 12-16 months for readings of up to 59, 17-22 months for readings between 30 and 89, 23-28 months for readings between 90 and 119 and 29-36 months for readings of 120 and over.

Fuck off with your sad do gooders. My DD was nearly killed because of someone like you. As it is she has life long health issues, and can never have children as the pain in her shattered. pelvis is too much. Arrogant fuckwits like you make me sick, I hope they throw the book at you, but most of all I hope that your mother never has to spend weeks sat in intensive care by your bed not knowing if you’ll live or die because some arsehole “made a mistake”

For Olivia-violet Reeves. Murdered by a drunk driver.

I hope you get what you deserve to teach you what you have done.

Giverortakeafew · 21/10/2017 21:09

The nicest way of putting it would be to say you "made a bad decision". Mistake sounds like you weren't actively involved and is provocative to those many people who have been killed or injured by drunk drivers. Your lack of remorse will go against you.

There is a reason why drunk driving is illegal. IT IS DANGEROUS and your down playing of the possible consequences makes you look foolish.

Man up, admit what you did was irresponsible and selfish. Then you might get a bit more sympathy.

PlumFairy2014 · 21/10/2017 21:24

MN quite often shocks me, but you hit a new low OP. Your lack of remorse is chilling and you should be ashamed.

Fairylea · 21/10/2017 21:31

Driving a car whilst drunk isn’t a mistake. You drank alcohol on purpose surely? You decided to drive? No mistake.

If you drink, you don’t drive. Very simple.

I think anyone who drink dives should be banned for life.

Drives even! BlushGrin
